VISIT THE TEMPLE OF THE MOON "ÑAUPA IGLESIA" AND THE PEROLNIÑOC WATERFALL IN OLLANTAYTAMBO

A STRATEGIC PLACE TO ENJOY THE BEAUTY OF THE NATURE

VISIT THE TEMPLE OF THE MOON "ÑAUPA IGLESIA" AND THE PEROLNIÑOC WATERFALL IN OLLANTAYTAMBO

The temple of the Moon or Ñaupa Iglesia: a very special place to have spiritual and mystical connections. In this place rituals are performed in honor of the Moon and the Pachamama “Earth Mother”, situated in the middle of the mountain of the community of Pachar – Ollantaytambo.
You will see inca terraces, stairways, chakanas (Andean crosses) of the Inca cosmology, sculptured stone seats, niches (that probably conserved mummies), an altar in a cave used as a strategic place to observe the stars.

The Perolniyoc Waterfall: an amazing place to enjoy the waterfall and its energy emanation. This place is out of the way in the Sacred Valley. We also recommend you to visit the archaeological site of Raqaypata, situated in the upper side of the Perolniyoc waterfall.

These two attractions must be visited since they are the complement of passing an Inca portal to another dimension meeting in this way with oneself and in the perfect balance between the human and his nature.
Both attractions are located in the district of Ollantaytambo. To get there you must take a transport to Huarocondo to reach the detour and enter the Soqma community from where you will walk for an hour and a half to arrive to the waterfall (3,450 m.a.s.l.). There you will have free time to enjoy the place and then continue with the 45 minute walk until the archaeological site of Raqaypata.
The visit to these 3 beautiful places takes all day long.

Best season to go: from April to November is the best season to make this trek (Dry season)..

Enjoy one of the nicest natural environments of Ollantaytambo!!
